Egypt's Al-Geel (Generation) Party director, Nagy Al-Shehaby assumed that expanding presidential period from 4 to 6 years was acceptable, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. "It's anti-constitutional that the presidential period for the president, the executive chief, would be less than parliament's director and than of PM's who enjoys the parliament's confidence," Al-Shehaby explained. Al-Shehaby added that the suggestion considered an amendment to the fifty-partisan committee that prepared the constitution. He indicated that it would be necessary to stage an amendment according to state's national security priorities.
