Egypt's Al-Geel (Generation) party director, Nagy Al-Shehaby called for president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi to stand on the recent developments of the construction works in Ethiopia's Renaissance Dam, al-Bawaba News reported Friday. Ethiopia has announced that it had concluded %47 of the construction works of the dam's body using 4 million tons of concrete out of the estimated 10,5 million tons, while concluded %65 of the buildings attached to the dam. Al-Shehaby described that the party's slogan , the river Nile, represents life for the nation, and that violations against Egypt's shares in the river, according to international historic treaties, would mean a declaration of war. "The path of the ongoing negotiations does not serve Egypt's interests," Al-Shehaby said pointing to the withdrawal of the Dutch Consulting Office, while the French, which is associated with much business with the Ethiopian side, remained and that could make it lose its neutrality. Al-Shehaby ended his statement signaling to the available chance that it should be implemented for the nation's interest.
