Elections law still lacks constitutionality: Politician

Egypt's Democratic Generation party director, Nagi Al Shihabi said that the delayed announcement of the new elections law had caused a nationwide controversial debate, Al Bawaba News reported Thursday.
Al Shehabi revealed that the law neither met the constitutional standards nor achieved the fair percentage decided by the Constitutional Court.
It is difficult to prepare the law of electoral divisions according to article 102 which demanded fair representation, he said, adding it may defame the constitutionality of the laws governing the electoral process.
