H.H. Sheikh Saif toured the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's ward which was established in 2006 with the support of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. This ward represents the first step in the expansion of the project of the Children's Cancer Hospital Foundation launched in 2007. The Foundation donated x-rays cancer detection equipment as one of the most important needs of the hospital. This support comes in line with the humanitarian initiatives that the UAE has consistently strive to implement under the directives of the country's wise leadership; and in promotion of the fraternal relationships between the UAE and Egypt. It also consolidates and fosters the historical relations and common destiny that combines the two countries.
Furthermore, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior visited the building of the Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan which includes a large number of beds and modern and advanced medical equipment used in the treatment of children with cancer. It is noteworthy that the equipment was a donation from the late Ahmed bin Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation that is active in the field of humanitarian work.
The Foundation also contributes in the establishment, management and support of educational and medical facilities in needy communities and developing countries. It helps and cares for the poor, the needy, and persons with special needs, as well as contributing to the establishment, management, operation and support of institutions and facilities that deal with public awareness. The Foundation spreads the correct definition of the teachings of the Islamic religion, its ethics, heritage and civilization.
It also coordinates with various associations and public and private charitable institutions in the country and abroad in order to contribute to the support and implementation of plans and programs in order to guarantee wise spending on the projects implemented, and achieve the greatest possible benefits to the beneficiaries of these projects.
Furthermore, H.H. Sheikh Saif inspected the cyclotron building in the Nuclear Medicine Department named "H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Unit." The unit was created with the support of H.H. for the treatment of children with cancer.
H.H. and the accompanying delegation toured the various departments of the hospital, accompanied by Major General Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, Egyptian Minister of Interior; Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the UAE to Egypt; and Dr. Sherif Abul Naja, Director of the CCHE 57357 .
