CAIRO: Officials at the Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE 57357) refused donations from supporters of ousted President Hosni Mubarak after the supporters attempted to furnish a room bearing Mubarak's name. Consequently, a row has emerged between the hospital administration and Mubarak's supporters. CCHE's director of public relations asked the donors to adhere to the hospital's protocols, which prevent displaying the name of those awaiting a verdict on criminal charges. He said anyone wants to donate should do so in their own name and not Mubarak's, and that patients' affairs should not be politicized. Mubarak's supporters are still attempting to negotiate with the officials to meet their demands.
