A Swiss tourist committed suicide at a hotel in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, Al-Bawaba News reported on Friday. A suicide note was found next to the body of the tourist, saying that she committed suicide because of her desire to die in Egypt and her unwillingness to return to her country. Major General Adel Tunisy, head of Red Sea security Directorate, received a notification stating that a Swiss tourist, 55, was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room. The body was moved to the Hurghada General Hospital's morgue, while the prosecutor initiated its investigations into the incident. The Swiss Embassy was notified to receive the body of the tourist.
