SOHAG, Egypt: After a fight between an undutiful son and his father, the father murdered his son by shooting him. The son had threatened to kill his father and pointed a firearm in his father's face in Girga city in the governorate of Sohag in Upper Egypt. The father decided to discipline his son, who was known for his bullying ways with the region's residents, and shot his son with an unlicensed firearm. The father turned himself to Girga police station and admitted to killing his son. The Minister's assistant and the director of Sohag Security, Adel Aziz El-Nahas, received a notification about the incident. The director of criminal investigations, Assem Hamza, and the director of investigations directorate, Mahmoud El-Aboody, moved to the scene of the crime instantly. The Investigations were supervised by Abdel Fatah El-Shahat, which took place in the village of Bendar. Ahmed Mahmoud (23) threatened to kill his father in their apartment. The father (50) decided to shoot him for his misbehavior with an unlicensed firearm. After inspections, the son's body was found on the floor in a pool of his blood; he was shot in the chest and there was an unlicensed firearm beside him. The prosecution was notified about the incident, and they inspected the crime scene and requested the body be transferred to the morgue.
