The Lawyers' Syndicate elections committee declared Tuesday the win of Sameh Ashour of a new term as the syndicate's chairman, Al-Bawaba News reported. The committee pointed out that the voter turnout reached 64,068 lawyers, adding that there were 2,130 invalid votes. Ashour won the chairman seat with a majority of 22,987 votes, while lawyer Montasser al-Zayat obtained 17,120 votes and lawyer Saed Abdel Khaliq gained 8,804 votes.
