Egypt's Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar inspected the scene of bomb that was found and defused by security forces in Giza's Al-Rimaya square, leaving an officer with slight injuries, Al-Bawaba News reported Friday. The Giza Security Directorate sent earlier its civil security forces as well as disposal officers to defuse an IED found by residents, causing panic among them. The forces managed to defuse the bomb using water, however a young officer was injured and transferred to hospital for treatment. Abdel Ghaffar urged the security forces to carry out a wide-scale investigation to identify the criminals and arrest them as soon as possible, stressing that such acts will not affect the ministry's efforts to achieve stability and security in the country. The minister also visited the injured officer in the hospital and asked the associated officials to follow up his health situation and assure him a suitable treatment.
