World Bank Egypt: World Bank Signs $550 million Rural Sanitation Program Egypt and the World Bank today signed $550 million program to improve sanitation services for more than 800,000 poor Egyptians in the Nile Delta where there is need to increase access to water, waste disposal, and health services. The Sustainable Rural Sanitation Services Program for Results, which was approved by the World Bank's Board of Directors last July, focuses on enhancing access to sanitation services for the rural poor and addressing the pollution of the Nile from untreated sewage. The Program aims at empowering local service delivery and connecting rural poor to working sanitation systems in the Delta governorates of Daqahliya, Sharqiya, and Beheira in Lower Egypt. "There is no connection between the next parliament and the government submitting its resignation, a lot of people think that but it is not true," Sisi said in a speech at a military parade marking the anniversary of Egypt's 1973 war with Israel. "The government at the time will present a program, if parliament votes for it, the government will remain in order to implement it, if not, a new government will be presented."
