Smugglers kill police conscript in Sinai

Ministry of Interior announced Thursday that a police conscript was killed during a clash with a number of smugglers in North Sinai, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.
The ministry added that the security forces scan the area to arrest the perpetrators of the attack, pointing out that the killed conscript's body was transferred to Al-Arish military hospital.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army and police has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
