Militants attack military checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid

Unidentified militants attacked Friday a military checkpoint in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid city, no casualties have been reported, Al Masry Al Youm News reported.
Military source said that the militants opened fire on the checkpoint, which is located on Rafah-Arish International Road.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
