Egypt's military forces killed Tuesday seven militants in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid, Rafah and Arish cities, Youm7 News reported. Military sources said the army conducted raided the militants' strongholds in the three cities. They killed seven militants, defused 19 improvised explosive devices and prevented three terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, a medical source said that unidentified militants killed two civilians and wounded five in Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
