Landmine explosion kills two militants in Sinai

The Egyptian army killed Tuesday two militants and arrested 18 suspects in North Sinai's Arish and Sheikh Zuweid cities, Al Bawaba News reported.
A security source said that the two militants attempted to attack a military checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid,but they were killed by a landmine installed by the army near the checkpoint.
The sourced added that the army seized four vehicles and destroyed 12 motorcycles used by terrorist groups to attack the army personnel.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
