Egyptian non-oil exports continued its decline for the eighth month in a row, by 20% in August and recorded $1.4bn compared to $1.7bn in the same period in 2014, according to Wednesday report of the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC). The Ministry of Trade and Industry affiliate GOEIC announced that total exports in 2015 have recorded $12.5bn until August compared to $15.4bn in the same period in 2014, with a decline rate estimated at 19%. Most export sectors witnessed major declines in August except the agricultural products sector, which survived the retreats wave, and rose by 23%.
