President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received Tuesday a telephone call from Jordan's king Abdullah II to discuss a number of regional and international issues, Al Bawaba News reported. Presidency spokesperson Alaa Yousef said that the Sisi discussed with King Abdullah the latest development of Al Aqsa Mosque clashes, pointing out that the two sides condemned the Israeli forces for storming the Mosque as well as attacking worshipers. Yousef added that the two leaders agreed that the violence against religious places in Quds threatens Palestinian-Israeli peace process efforts. He pointed out that Sisi praised King Abdullah and Jordan's efforts in maintaining the religious holy places in Quds, adding that Israel must work seriously towards the resumption of negotiations in order to reach a comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian issue.
