On a first visit since the independence of the small island of Singapore, east Asia, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi accompanies Investment Minister and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Muhab Mamish to have an idea about the Singaporean port experience. The visit follows finishing the News Suez Canal inauguration, in an endeavor to learn how to assert itself amongst the Asian tigers like Singapore did, as it runs ports and full on economic projects. Singapore's port is a real miracle where it managed to up the small island's economy, for an area of 750,000 square meters, with a population of 5.5 million, till it became the 4th most important financial center in the world. The small island gained its independence in 1965 through adopting unorthodox solutions, logistically, which helped it gaining the lion's share and helped the national income to reach USD 310 billion by the end of 2014, which allowed it to go higher up in education. Singapore's port offers up to 200,000 employment opportunities per year and massively helped the decrease of redundancy. The port is different from the other ones competitively and worldwide along with the fees applied and the logistics offered. Singapore's port won the best port award in the Asian continent for 23 times and became the best ever in 2011. It now comes in third in the continent as the size of ships that reach the port is as twice as the island alone. According to the latest economic reports, the port recorded 28.5 million containers, 505.5 million tons of goods and 48.8 million tons of carriers, where ships could weigh up to 2.12 billion tons in general for last year. Waiting time is the shortest in the world as it doesn't exceed 5 hours, which helped ships be eager. The reason is because the shorter you wait, the less costly it is to carry and transfer goods in addition to helping the passing ships refuel. Comprehensive economic projects: Apart from the experience of having that as a pioneering port, which was the reason al-Sisi and other officials visited, Singapore is a unique experience and has its own unique projects. Needless to say, that the Singaporean experience was the reason China rose as it sought for Singapore's expertise, which is exactly what al-Sisi and Mamish are looking for. Inspired by the Singaporean experience in managing ports and building economic units, are what al-Sisi is aiming at while being the first Egyptian ruler to visit.
