Egypt's Apaches have killed three militants and injured seven in air strikes in Sheikh Zuwaid, North Sinai, military sources told al-Bawaba News Sunday. The militants are affiliates of the Province of Sinai, a terrorist group related to the Islamic State (IS), that was formerly known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis. The sources added the commando forces have arrested 10 militants southern Sheikh Zuwaid. Meanwhile, the military has defused two improvised explosive devices by the side of the ring road in Sheikh Zuwaid. Since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi, July 2013, the military has launched a crackdown against terrorist groups that killed and wounded hundreds in the restive peninsula.
