Egypt's Minister of Culture Abdul Wahid Al Nabawy received two paintings of new Suez Canal drawn by artist Mohamed Abdel Halim Makram, as a gift to the presidency, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. The two paintings express the increasing efforts exerted during drilling the new Suez Canal, as the first painting shows huge dredgers, which represent the most important stages of the work done. Meanwhile, the other painting shows a ship passing through the canal. Al Nabawy decided to display the paintings in the contemporary art exhibition to be held this month to celebrate the inauguration of the new Suez Canal.
