Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab released Monday a new postal stamp to celebrate the inauguration of the new Suez Canal, Al Bawaba News reported. Minister of Communications, Khaled Nejm said that the stamp aims to honor this historic event, pointing out that stamps carries a design of two opposite ships in the old and the new Canal as well as Pharaonic signs. For his part, President of the National Postal Authority, Essam Al Saghyer said that the Authority had organized a contest between artists from Fine Arts faculties Arts and authority's designers in order to design the new Suez Canal stamp. The inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal will be held on August 6 with the representation of World leaders who confirmed their attendance at this important event.
