Minister of Culture, Abdul Wahid Al Nabawy revealed Saturday new details in the ministry's plans to celebrate the inauguration of the new Suez Canal, Al Bawaba News reported. Al Nabawy announced that there will be an artistic and cultural carnival at Opera House Square in Cairo governorate. He said that the ministry is preparing to celebrate with the Egyptian people by establishing several art events in various governorates. This includes the cultural carnival at Opera House Square, which will last throughout August and witness the waving of Egyptian and Suez Canal flags over the premises of the headquarters of the ministry and Opera House. He added that all the bodies and sectors of the ministry cooperate in order to prepare for the celebration of the new Suez Canal, as the carnival will include an exhibition of documents about the Suez Canal, which will be held at the exhibition Hall in Hanager Center for the Arts. Furthermore, he stressed that there will also be an exhibition of contemporary art, where artists will have the chance to show their artwork for the inauguration of the new Suez Canal. He pointed out that there will be intensive seminars and discussions regarding the completion of the new Suez Canal.
