Egyptian courts consider espionage, terror-related cases

Cairo criminal court resumes Saturday the espionage case of ousted President Mohamed Morsi and 10 co-defendants, Al Bawaba News reported.
The defendants face charges of leaking secret documents and reports on the Egyptian army to Qatar through the Qatari TV channel, Al Jazeera.
Cairo Criminal Court tries Saturday 213 defendants alleged to be members of Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis over terror attacks, Al Bawaba News reported.
Defendants are accused committing 54 terror-related crimes, including attempting to kill former Interior Minister, Mohamed Ibrahim, and bombing security headquarters across the nation.
