Security forces in Fayoum governorate succeeded Sunday to defuse three improvise explosive devices (IED), Al Bawaba News reported. Security source said that the security forces received an information that unidentified militant planted three explosive devices under one of the governorate's electricity towers. The source added that the bomb squad deployed immediately to the tower and succeeded to defuse all the IEDs. Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
