US-led coalition launches 28 airstrikes on Iraq, Syria

U.S.-led International Coalition launched 28 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria, Al Bawaba News reported Friday.
The coalition command said that its warplanes conducted 14 airstrikes on IS sites in 10 Iraqi cities.
The command added that the other 14 airstrikes were carried out targeting IS sites in Syria's Kobani city, destroying eight IS units, vehicles and a number of fighting positions.
The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
