The U.S. military announced in a statement that the international coalition conducted four airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) jihadist group militants in Syria and 11 in Iraq, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. The U.S. military said that the airstrikes in Syria targeted IS sites near Kobani, destroying four terrorist outposts, a boat and tactical unit. In Iraq, the military said that the coalition carried out five airstrikes against IS tactical units near Fallujah, destroying vehicles, machine guns and a fighting position. It added that the coalition launched six airstrikes in the cities of Mosul, Ramadi and Tal Afar, destroying three buildings, machine guns and vehicles.
