U.S.-led International Coalition launched 22 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. The U.S military said that its warplanes conducted 16 airstrikes on IS sites on a number of Iraqi cities, destroying six fighting positions, a tank and a building. The military added that the other six airstrikes were carried out targeting IS sites in Syria's Haskah and Raqqa cities. The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
