Wilayat Sinai terrorist group has threatened Saturday to target prisons in an attempt to set its locked up leaders and members free, Al Bawaba newspaper reported. The group has vowed to get its imprisoned leaders and members out of prison on the occasion of the first anniversary of declaring allegiance to Islamic State's (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and changing the group's name from Ansar Bait al-Maqdis to Wilayat Sinai. However, security experts say that this threat is not serious and the sole purpose of it is to put its members on alert, as the group has been dealt a series of heavy blows in northern Sinai province.
