Bedouin tribe kidnaps Wilayat Sinai leader

Al Menaei Bedouin tribe abducted a leading member of Wilayat Sinai terrorist group Haitham Al Menaei after he executed his cousin Abdul Karim Al Menaei in Rafah, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday.
On Monday, Wilayat Sinai beheaded a Bedouin man for cooperating with the Egyptian army as he worked a truck driver supplying water to the army.
Security sources said that the Egyptian army is seeking to convince the kidnappers to hand over Haitham Al Menaei alive in order to arrest him.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
