U.S.-led International Coalition launched 16 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria, Al Bawaba News reported Monday. The coalition command said that its warplanes conducted 13 airstrikes on IS sites on nine Iraqi cities, destroying a number of vehicles and tunnels. The command added that the other three airstrikes were carried out targeting IS sites in Syria's Kobani and Haskah cities, destroying two motorcycles, fighting positions and a communication tower. The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
