Cairo Criminal Court resumes Wednesday the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 10 other co-defendants in the espionage case, Al Bawaba News reported. The court is scheduled to unseal the prosecution evidences during this session. The defendants face charges of leaking top secret military reports pertaining to Egypt's Intelligence Authority and Armed Forces, to a foreign country, namely Qatar. Separately, Cairo Criminal Court considers the trial of 23 defendants accused of attacking the U.S. embassy in Cairo on July 22, 2013. Prosecution accused the defendants of crowding, jeopardizing the public peace, killing a citizen and injuring others, damaging public properties, possessing unlicensed weapons and terrorizing citizens. Khanka Misdemeanor court considers Wednesday the retrial of four policemen accused of killing 37 prisoners by mistake, Youm7 news reported. The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment during the first trial, while the Court of Appeal referred them to another judicial circuit for retrial. The court had overturned the verdict against defendants, and ordered them a retrial over new investigations.
