Tourism Minister, Khaled Rami is on his way to London to start a tour including Britain, Germany, and Russia. Al Bawaba News reported. The minister stated in a press release, that his first visit is aimed at visiting major tourism countries for inbound tourism in Europe, to identify demands of leading tour operators, stimulate charter airlines and promotional campaigns, in addition to promoting cultural tourism supporting Luxor and Aswan. The minister emphasized on the importance of inbound tourism from Europe, as it represents 73 % of the Egyptian tourism, he added that Russia tops the list of countries exporting tourism, followed by Britain and Germany. He explained that the visit include holding many important professional meetings with tourism decision-makers in the three countries to restore tourism movement. It is worth mentioning that Russia makes up % 31 of the inbound tourism to Egypt, while Britain makes up % 9, Germany % 8.8, Western European countries together form a proportion of 30.3% of inbound tourism, while from Eastern European countries 12.1%, according to the statistics of 2014.
