Egypt's Minister of Transitional Justice, Ibrahim Al Heneidy said Sunday in a press conference that violence and terrorism has been igniting throughout Egypt, since the removal of ousted president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013. Al Heneidy said: "We should link between widespread violence in the country and the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group which stands responsible for several attacks that left hundreds dead, including civilians, security and army personnel." He added that Sinai is considered a shelter for extremists, such as Wilayat Sinai militants; however the Egyptian army succeeded in pushing such groups into a defensive position. Furthermore, the minister praised the exerted efforts and remarkable role of Egypt's security forces, judges and Al Azhar scholars in combating extremism and terrorism.
