Egyptian military forces denied Monday reports of a terrorist attack on Al Masoura checkpoint in Rafah city, Al Bawaba News reported. Some media reports said that an attack took place on Al Masoura checkpoint and left three soldiers injured. The checkpoint lies on a road one kilometer away from the Rafah border crossing. Since president Mohamed Morsi's ouster in July 2013, scores of policemen and army personnel have been killed or injured at the hands of terrorist groups in Sinai.
