Iraqi security forces announced they killed five Islamic State (IS) militants in Ramadi, Anbar Province, west of Iraq, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. According to a statement issued by Iraqi Interior Ministry, the joint forces have pushed into Anbar Province and killed five IS militants. Reinforcements have been sent to support security forces at Anbar which IS militants siege from all directions, the statement added. A U.S.-led international coalition, along with Iraqi forces, have launched since July 2014 airstrikes against IS militants who captured large swathes of Iraq and Syria.
