Iraq's Defense Ministry announced Tuesday the army had killed 40 Islamic State (IS) militants in the Saladin and Diyala provinces, Al Bawaba News reported. The Ministry stated that the Degla operations command had attacked IS sites in Diyala, killing 25 militants. It also destroyed four vehicles and defused 47 IEDs. In Saladin, the Iraqi army killed 15 IS militants and destroyed a vehicle in Al Bogari village.
