The Conference party, led by Amr Moussa is roiling with internal disputes, which may lead to reshuffling the leaderships and reconsidering its electoral alliances due to a two-front clash, Sources told Al Bawaba News on Wednesday. The first front headed by Secretary General, Omar Al Mukhtar Semaida, Amin Rady and Vice President of the Party for Youth and Education Affairs, Magdy Morshed, while the other front is headed by the Deputy Head of the party's organization affairs, Salah Hasaballah, and Assistant party head, Moataz Mohamed Mahmoud. The crisis emerged while forming electoral alliances, especially after the party announced its withdrawal from the Egyptian front coalition, as the Party's opposition front suggested remaining within the coalition. However, the front led by the party head supported the withdrawal and decided to join Al-Wafd alliance. Sources who asked to remain anonymous, said that since the party has quit the front alliance, the opposition front did not represent it during meetings with other parties, as Semaida assigned the Secretary General of the party to take the necessary decisions in the absence of the party's head, which was disapproved by Hasaballah and Moataz Mahmoud, pushing them to consider resigning. The Conference Party is an Egyptian secularist political party. Five different political parties have merged together to form the Conference Party, including liberal and leftist forces, as well as remnants of the former NDP-regime.
