The leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS), Abubaker Al Baghdady has urged militants in Libya to give assistance for Sinai-based Wilayet Sinai. Sources close to the Libyan intelligence revealed that Baghdady's encoded messages called for large-scale terrorist attacks in Cairo and other provinces to relieve security forces' tight grip on terrorist offshoots in Sinai. "Such assistance could help Wilayet Sinai restore its past glories and raise its members' morale," said Al Baghdady. The sources revealed that messages between Wilayet Sinai and IS indicated the militants' desire to quit Sinai after large numbers of insurgents were killed and arrested. Baghdady advised the militants sneaking into Egypt, to be more cautious and enter as individuals to avoid being arrested. Security sources in Sinai said a group of IS militants has infiltrated into Egypt to participate in the latest terrorist attacks targeting 5 security checkpoints.
