The Iraqi army killed Wednesday 70 Islamic State (IS) militants in the provinces of Al Anbar and Saladin, according to security reports. Security sources in Al Anbar said that Iraqi warplanes targeted IS positions in Ramadi, killing 25 militants. Since 2014, Al Anbar has witnessed fierce clashes between the Iraqi military forces and IS militants, who took over the province. The sources added that the international coalition and Iraqi army warplanes targeted IS sites in Saladin, killing 31 militants. Federal security forces and Hashad Al Shaabi (Popular Crowd) fighters clashed with IS militants in the Alam district of Saladin, killing 14 militants.
