Security forces confirmed Sunday that 6 explosions took place in Cairo, but left no injuries. Helwan district had the largest share of the attacks as 6 explosive packs targeting KFC restaurant in Rayl Street, Mo'men restaurant, Etisalat store, Baby Garden School, Barclays Bank and Helwan Department of education have exploded early Sunday. No injuries have been reported. An explosion in front of Sheikh Zayed sports club in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza caused widespread panic among locals. Civil protection forces were deployed to the scene to investigate the incident. No casualities have been reported. Nearby streets were barricaded and Bomb disposal officers and explosive detection dogs were deployed to the locations of the explosions to scan the area for other potential threats. Three schools in Qantara Gharb town in Ismailia were evacuated after 3 explosive packs were found Sunday in Qantara Gharb religious institute for girls, Qantara experimental school and Yousry Shaarawy high school. Security forces received reports over 3 suspicious packages. Bomb disposal specialists defused the bombs, and scanned other schools across the city for other packages.
