Horoscopes:
Having a ball of a time
By Imhotep
These are very special times for people born under the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer (22 Jun-22 Jul). For Cancerians, Imhotep foresees quite a few cozy evenings in July spent together with a loved one. Family get- togethers are on the cards. Cancerians could expect a family reunion in July, or perhaps just an evening spent cosily gossiping with an old friend.
July is a very special month for Crabs, as Cancerians are sometimes called. The month promises excitement and lots of fun. But, don't let your well-intentioned kindliness be taken advantage of and spoil all the fun. Modesty must be avoided at all cost, and especially towards the middle of July. Don't settle for second best. Please, don't let others take advantage of your sweet nature.
Crabs must not fret over missed opportunities. My dear Cancerian, don't cry over spilt milk. Yes, you might not get the job you've long been angling for, or the position you've long coveted, but life for you this July will be such a ball. Much of the fun, though, would be out of the workplace, after office hours, and with family and close friends.
But in spite of all the merriment, one or two more mundane matters weigh heavily on your minds, dear Crabs. Let me set your mind at rest. There is nothing wrong with paying through your nose to get what you really want. But, first of all be very clear about what you would be paying.
Don't be fleeced. Take a day or two off the appraise matters before you embark on a venture. By nature, Crabs are not risk-takers. Follow your instincts.
Is it worth it? Think about the cost, and not just in monetary terms. There is more at stake than intellectual inquiry. It is, to be honest, all a question of weighing up one thing against another, although it's also worth bearing in mind that no decision about your happiness and well-being is ever set in stone.
Imhotep predicts fun and excitement for people born under the Fixed Fire sign of Leo (23 Jul-22 Aug) in the weeks ahead. July is a great month for Lions, as Leos are sometimes called. For starters, Lions will most likely be the most cosseted members of their families, especially towards the end of the month.
A typical Leo never larks around. Lions, plot and plan ahead. They are natural organisers at work and at home. Deep inside, they love to run other peoples' lives, even though they'll tell you that they don't.
In July, however, Lions will lie back and enjoy.
Some Lions will get themselves into argumentative situations. Some Lions are very quarrelsome, but very few Leos are surly. But, dear Lions, you should mind your tongues. Don't spit fire. Take it easy with the dimwits.
In July Lions will be exposed to people from very different backgrounds than theirs.
These are frustrating times for people born under the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo (23 Aug-22 Sep). Imhotep understands that typical Virgoans currently feel weighed down with problems. Don't worry, be happy.
The family is not as supportive as it should be. Female members of the family, in particular, might blame you for your predicament. You don't have to give them any details. Just tell them that you would appreciate their moral support. Ask them to bear with you through this difficult period. Don't bear grudges against them.
Chatting with close friends might take your mind off the awful things that have been happening in the workplace.
For the Virgoan, helpless and desolate, July will feel like a tortuously long month. But rest assured, dear Virgoan, the feelings of failure and despair will soon dissipate towards the end of the month. Indeed, for Virgoans with Cancer, Leo, Libra and Pisces in the Ascendant, the month of July might bear a number of pleasant surprises.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius
