Mohamed Salah is on his way to becoming one of the best players in Europe. This was the headline or the main topic of English and Swiss newspapers this week after the young Egyptian magician dazzled both domestically and in Europe. The sparkling Salah once again showed why he's so highly rated in Swiss and European football as he -- and for the third time -- haunted Chelsea's Jose Mourinho and scored the only goal of the game as Basel defeated the Champions League winners and Europa league holders for the second time this season. The electric winger played arguably his best game of the season and once again showed he's a man born for big missions as he downed Chelsea with a simply extraordinary strike three minutes from time to give Basel a real chance of clinching a place in the knockout stages. It was obvious from the very first minute of the game that Salah was in the mood for causing all sorts of problems for the English giants as he time and again caused havoc in the final third thanks to his scary speed and deft touches. Chelsea defenders led by former English captain John Terry found life very difficult against Salah and had Petr Cech to their rescue as he denied the Egyptian two times in the first half with two magnificent saves. But there no way Salah would have gone home without finding the back of the net. It came very late though with just three minutes to go. Salah fooled the evergreen Ivanovic and received the ball behind him with a superb first touch that put the Egyptian through on goal and thanks to his frightening speed the Serbian simply had no chance of catching him. With still work to do Salah dinked the ball over Cech in the far corner to clinch a vital win that means Basel needs only one point in Germany against Schalke to qualify to the group stages. Salah's goal drew wild celebration scenes inside the stadium as the home fans couldn't believe they did the double over a team like Chelsea and against a coach like Mourinho who is maybe the best manager in the world at the moment. The complete performance of Salah prompted the English commentator to say that Salah can be the new Gareth Bale which is the best praise Salah could receive as Real Madrid's Bale is considered one of the best five players in the world. The English press added to this by saying that Salah's price tag could go up to 60 million English pounds if he maintained the current form that helped him destroy Chelsea two times this season and once last season. Speculation regarding Salah's future already took place in the past days after the win with some reports indicating that Tottenham will submit an official offer in the range of 20 million pounds in January. Salah wasn't the only Egyptian to shine in this game as Mohamed Al-Nenni played the full game as well and didn't stop running from the first minute until the referee blew the final whistle in addition to spreading passes in style. On another day with that performance Al-Nenni would have received more praise alongside the rest of the Basel team but Salah's performance stole all the headlines. Basel is now second in the group with eight points while Schalke is third with seven points while Chelsea already qualifies to the group stages despite the defeat as they sit first with nine points. Basel's manager Murat Yakin described their final game of the group stages against Schalke as their most important game in two years and will be treated as a final which is surely concurred by his players and his fans. Basel will need more of the same from Salah in Germany as one point from this game will be enough to see them get through while a defeat will see them go to the Europa league. Leaving the Champions League and going to the Swiss league, there was no stopping Salah as he netted twice for the first time in a very long time. Unfortunately, Salah's teammates couldn't protect the Egyptian's goals as Young Boys twice came from behind to clinch a point from the leaders. Salah's two goals came in the first half as first he slotted the ball home after brilliantly rounding the keeper after going one on one with him before adding his second with the last kick of the half when he started the move and ended it with a simple touch that needed a quick response. No need to say that Salah who played the full game was man of the match even though he failed to really threaten in the second half as Basel tried to defend their lead. As for Al-Nenni, he played the full game as well and was magnificent in the middle of the park and continued his good run of form. The draw isn't really a bad result given Young Boys are now second in the league after Kahraba downed Grasshoppers and Basel now sit three points clear of Young Boys. The brilliant Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba sent Basel clear to the top? Yes you read it right. Luzern's Egyptian star sent his fellow Egyptians Salah and Al-Nenni clear on top of the league as he scored the winner for his side minutes after coming on as a substitute against Grasshoppers. Kahraba who started the game on the bench came on in the 78th minute when the score was 1-1 and scored the winner four minutes from time after receiving the ball at the edge of the area and finished magnificently with his side foot into the far corner when he went one on one with the goalkeeper. Kahraba's goal took Luzern to fourth place level on points with Young Boys and Grasshoppers who are second and third in the league. After the match, Luzern's manager Bernegger praised the Egyptian attacker and indicated that the way Kahraba is playing since joining his club makes it even harder for them to sign him as he expects to find big clubs chasing his signature at the end of the campaign. In England, Ahmed Al-Mohamadi played a magnificent game on the right flank as he helped Hull City clinch a memorable win over English giants and second in the league Liverpool 3-1. Al-Mohamadi played a huge role in the first goal as he stole the ball from Nigeria's Moses and played it to Livermore who scored from a deflected shot after a one-two with Al-Mohamadi's best friend on the team David Meyler. Apart from his part in that goal, Al-Mohamadi was brilliant throughout and rarely let anything past him as he didn't give Liverpool's wingers a sniff. The established Premier League star came extremely close to scoring in the dying seconds of the game after he went through on goal but his shot went a little bit wide of goal. Mohamed Nagi Gedo watched the historic win, which is the first for Hull City over Liverpool in history, from the bench. The win took Hull City to 10th place in the league table.
