Zamalek, buoyed by their progress to the African Champions League last 16, will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run under coach Mido when they meet Beni Suef Telephones in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday. The White Knights are fourth in Group B with 14 points from eight matches but they will leapfrog their challengers at the top if they win their three games in hand on second-placed Ismaily and leaders Petrojet. Zamalek, who have been in fine form since Mido took over in January following the sacking of Helmi Toulan, extended their unbeaten run under the rookie manager to eight matches when they held Kabuscorp to a 0-0 draw in Angola to reach the Champions League round of 16 with a 1-0 aggregate win last Friday. However, critics still question Mido's rotation policy, arguing that too many changes in Zamalek's starting line-up will affect the rhythm and harmony of the team. The former Tottenham and Marseille striker promoted several youngsters to the first team, saying he has no problems in working with a limited transfer budget as the club are suffering from persistent financial problems. They are expected to easily overcome struggling side Beni Suef Telephones, who lie second from bottom in the group with eight points from nine games. Zamalek will miss midfielders Nour El-Sayed and Omar Gaber through suspension and versatile defender Hani Said through illness.
