‘Promising' Kabuscorp were unlucky to face Zamalek: Mido
Rookie coach Mido is relieved after Zamalek scraped into the African Champions League last 16 following a goalless draw at Angola's Kabuscorp on Friday
Published in Ahram Online on 07 - 03 - 2014

Zamalek coach Mido lauded Kabuscorp for their battling display over two legs despite the Angolan side's failure to cause an upset against the five-time winners in the African Champions League round of 32.
The Cairo giants held Kabuscorp to a 0-0 draw in Luanda to scrape into the last 16 with a 1-0 aggregate victory, having survived several scares in Friday's second leg.
“They are a very good side with some quality players. I told my players this will be one of our toughest games in this year's campaign,” Mido said after the match, which was not televised in Egypt.
“Kabuscorp are a promising team. They were unlucky to be drawn against Zamalek.”
Zamalek will face either Kampala City of Uganda or Zambia's Nkana FC for a place at the group stage of Africa's premier club competition.
Kampala and Nkana, who meet on Saturday, played out a 2-2 first-leg draw in Zambia.
“There is still a long way to go. It's natural that we have progressed to the last 16,” Mido added.
The White Knights have not won the Champions League since lifting the last of their five trophies in 2002.
