Zamalek will be looking to overcome their fans' absence in the CAF Champions League round of 32 first leg against Kabuscorp when they visit the Angolans on Friday. The Whites could only register a narrow 1-0 victory over Kabuscorp in Cairo a week ago after being required to play the game behind closed doors following altercations between their fans and security forces. Although fans were supposed to attend the continental match, authorities announced an indefinite crowd ban in the aftermath of clashes between security forces and the Ultras fans of Ahly after an African Super Cup game a fortnight ago. Zamalek will be determined to make the most of their slender advantage when they take on Angolan champions Kabuscorp at their 12,000-seater home stadium in Luanda. "We will play only to win in Angola," Zamalek star Mido was quoted as saying by Egypt's state-run news agency MENA on Tuesday. "Kabuscorp fans are likely to put pressure on their players so as to score from the start after their team were defeated in Cairo. "Our players have the qualities that enable them to play normally against a large number of the opponent's supporters." Despite Zamalek voicing their rejection of the stadium ban, the Egyptian Football Association announced that the authorities could well order Cairo's top two teams to play the remainder of their Champions League campaign behind closed doors. Kabuscorp, who were founded in 1994, hardly proved a side to reckon with during the first leg match, and Zamalek still remain firm favorites to reach the round of 16. The Angolans barely threatened the hosts' goal at all during match, which was settled by a second-half header from defender Mahmoud Fathallah. An injury-free 20-man squad flew to the West African country two days ago, with midfield duo Moemen Zakareya and Islam Awad returning after being ruled out of the first leg for different reasons. Should the five-time African champions overcome Kabuscorp, they will be facing the winner from the match between Zambia's Nkana and Uganda's Kampala City Council, who played out a 2-2 first-leg draw.
