Ahly boosted by 30,000 supporters at Super Cup
Egyptian authorities increased the number of supporters who will attend the African Super Cup match upon the request of the African football governing body

Egyptian giants Ahly will be cheered by 30,000 supporters when they play the African Super Cup game against Tunisian side Sfaxien.
Champions League holders Ahly are set to host Sfaxien, who won the Confederation Cup, on Thursday at Cairo stadium.
Egyptian authorities have recently announced that only 20,000 supporters will be allowed to attend the match due to security reasons; a decision that was opposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
CAF has demanded that at least up to 30,000 fans be allowed to attend Thursday's match, the request that was approved on Wednesday.
"CAF's representative agreed with security officials to increase the supports numbers up to 30,000 in Wednesday's meeting for the match arrangements," Ahly said in a statement on its official website.
Most football matches in Egypt have been played behind closed doors since the army ousted president Mohamed Morsi on 3 July following mass protests against his rule.
Egypt's interior minister allowed 10,000 of Zamalek supporters to attend the game against Niger's AS Douanes in the CAF Champions League preliminary round at Cairo stadium on 9 February.
The hardcore Zamalek fans lit some fireworks in the stands but the match was otherwise trouble-free.
Ahly won the African Champions League title in November after beating South Africa's Orlando. Sfaxien won the Confederation Cup title after beating TP Mazembe of DR Congo.
Ahly are the record holders of the African Super Cup with five titles under their belt. They beat Sfaxien 2-1 in the same competition in 2009.
