Hugh Robertson, Minister of State at Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, condemned on Friday the "terrorist attacks" in Cairo. "My thoughts are with the families of those affected. I call on all Egyptians to resolve their differences peacefully and to refrain from violence", Robertson said. A string of four bombings struck Greater Cairo on Friday, killing at least six people and injuring dozens of others, on the eve of the anniversary of the 2011 uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak. An Al-Qaeda-inspired group, Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis or (Partisans of Jerusalem), has claimed the major bombing at the Cairo police compound. The group, which has claimed the deadliest militant attacks since Morsi's ouster in July, has warned Egyptians in an audio statement against taking to the streets on Saturday, the third 25 January revolution anniversary. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/92490.aspx
