Muslim Brotherhood will ‘accept the result of the referendum'

Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie says they will accept the results of the referendum, regardless of the outcome.
Although in a press conference today in front of El Manial Preparatory School the Supreme Guide refused to reveal if he voted “Yes” or “No” on the constitutional amendments it has been widely reported that the group was heavily campaigning for a "Yes" vote.
Badie himself only supported the referendum by stating that it will protect the Egyptian revolution and urged Egyptians to participate in today's national referendum.
After casting his vote earlier today in the Manial suburb of Cairo, he said that Egyptians are the ones who have the authority to choose and that he is happy he participated.
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leader added that only God can guide the people and tell them how to vote and that today Egyptians are building a new Egypt far removed from the corruption that infested the country for the past few decades.
“I congratulate Egypt for this great day,'' says Badie. “We are happy that Egyptians are so ecstatic and it is the voters' say that will determine the future of Egypt, which has finally regained its freedom.”
Badie was joined by other MB leaders, including Essam El-Erian, Mohamed Morsy and Saad El Katatny.
