Egypt's Elmohamady to sign 3-year deal with Hull: Report Ahmed Elmohamady to sign three-year contract with Hull City after earning player of the year award while on loan from Sunderland last season
Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady is set to finalise a permanent move to newly-promoted Hull City within a week. The Tigers reportedly reached an agreement with Sunderland to sign Elmohamady in May, but they were waiting for agreement over some terms with the player and his agent. "Hull City will look to thrash out the final details of a £2 million deal to land loan star Ahmed Elmohamady within the next seven days," a source close to the player toldTheHull and East Ridingon Wednesday. "A £2 million fee has long been agreed with parent club Sunderland and, following progressive talks in recent weeks, Elmohamady is edging towards a permanent three-year deal. "The deal is now close to being a formality. I cannot foresee any problems with the deal," the source concluded. The 25-year-old winger joined Championship side Hull on a season-long loan from Premier League side Sunderland last summer. The Egyptian star was named Hull City's Player of the Year for 2012/13 after scoring three goals and creating several others to help the Tigers earn promotion to the Premier League. Elmohamady has recently reiterated his desire to make his loan deal with Hull City permanent, saying it would be difficult for him to play with any coach other than Hull City's Steve Bruce, who hired him from Egypt's ENPPI after taking charge of Sunderland 3 years ago.
