Egypt bans Atef Ebied, Farouk Hosni and Osama el-Shiekh from leaving
More members of Mubarak's regime and inner circle come under investigation with nine businessmen also ordered to remain in the country

Egypt's prosecutor-general, Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, today issued additonal banning orders preventing more former ministers and prominent businessmen from leaving the country.
Former prime minister and close Mubarak ally Atef Ebeid, former minister of culture Farouk Hosni and the former head of Egyptian State TV, Osama el-Sheikh, are the latest members of Mubarak's regime to come under scrutiny for their role.
As well as heading his government, Ebeid was also Mubarak's personal financial advisor and one of the architects of the country's privatisation project.
The latest businessmen to be banned from leaving the country are: Amr Assal, head of the Industrial Development Authority, Medhat el-Meligy, head of Productive Farmers' Union, Yassin Mansour, Hamed el-Sheemy, Helmy Abu Eish, Adham Nadine, Nehad Ragab, Nabil Abdel Azim and Mohamed Abu el-Enin.
