BREAKING: Muslim Brotherhood member killed in Damanhour clashes
The Muslim Brotherhood's political party says one of its members was killed in the ongoing clashes with anti-Brotherhood protesters in the Nile Delta city of Damanhour
Published in Ahram Online on 25 - 11 - 2012

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) said on Sunday one of the Muslim Brotherhood youth was killed in clashes against the Islamist group's foes in the Nile Delta city of Damanhour.
“Islam Fathi Masoud was martyred and 60 were injured in an attack on the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters with no presence from police forces,” the FJP said on its official Facebook page.
The clashes in Damanhour broke out on Saturday evening and left 26 injured, and erupted once again on Sunday evening leading to Fathi's death.
On Sunday, fierce clashes between anti-Muslim Brotherhood protesters and members of the Islamist group erupted in Saea Square.
Some 1,500 members of the Muslim Brotherhood had organised a rally at the groups headquarters in the square in support of President Mohamed Morsi's controversial Constitutional Declaration.
The two sides hurled rocks at one at one another amid complete absence of security forces.
Anti-Brotherhood protesters reportedly attacked the Brotherhood demonstration with Molotov cocktails and rocks. The Islamist group responded with rocks and truncheons.
Damanhour is widely regarded to be a Brotherhood stronghold.
A number of attacks on Muslim Brotherhood headquarters have taken place across the country since the declaration was announced on Thursday.
